Wyatt has been doing real well for the most part, as of this upcoming Wednesday it will be one .month since his last seizure which is awesome!
As we continue to navigate LGIT and how it effects Wyatt we have realized a few things. If we keep his carbs on the lower side, utilizing cottage cheese as a base in most things, he not only gets the protein and fats he needs but is full and seems more stable mood wise and behaviorally speaking, which is awesome. I was gone for a weekend to do a weekend long event and upon returning was utilizing what was available at home but have seen a difference in how he acts and approaches certain things. He requires the highest dat content available for cottage cheese, and though I went to BJs, they did not have anything higher than 2%, which unfortunately will not work, but we are getting there!
Now another thing we have been looking at is a night time monitoring system so he can be more independent in being able to sleep in his own room and be a "typical" pre teen boy! We have found a device that is wireless and would monitor for seizures, sleep pattern changes, vitals etc, however the cost is $260 , and which I can provide all information for, and it may not seem like a lot but with every day bills and groceries for the entire family it is on the more expensive side! We appreciate everyone willing to make donations of any kind, including gift cards to grocery stores etc!!
