Elena is a special 14 year old girl and on June 1st she will be evaluated by the same Keto Team at BCH who care for Wyatt. Elena suffers , primarily,from tonic clonic seizures as well as PNES, which are non epileptic seizures that are part of her mental health issues. Back in March , Elena was also identified as being prediabetic so we have been trying to slowly transition her to a similar treatment as Wyatt, being LGIT which will not only benefit her medical but improve her mental health as well.
With the impending eval, and most likely, intimation of LGIT for two of the children, the cost of groceries is going to climb exponentially but it will all be worth it! Any support is much appreciated.
Wyatt has, through awesome donors, been able to get the sleep monitoring system and cameras that is needed for his room!! Wyatt also met with his Epileptologist this past Wednesday and due to the type of seizure he has back in April we made a slight adjustment to his night time meds and will see them again in August right before the next school year. The next hurdle for Wyatt is obtaining an AC for his room as there is one in my room, one in his sisters room, however, heat is a trigger for Wyatt so with summer coming, that is the next hurdle for us to conquer!!
