It’s been awhile! But then again, I haven’t had chemo since the 8th- so it’s been a nice break with not much to update with.
Last chemo was the 1st of 4 for the harsher drugs. My side effects were minimal- mostly the mouth sores and everything tasting horrible being the hardest part.
I had round 2 this past Monday, and what a different story it has been so far. My body aches are horrible, feel like I was ran over by a car. This is from the white blood cell shot I get 17 hours later after my infusion. It ramps up the cell production, which are made in the bones, and makes you feel like you’re so sore all over.
I’m also extremely nauseous. I’ve been making sure I take my meds like clock work. I have been resting way more than normal (if you know me, that’s hard for me!) and I’ve been working less so I can rest.
We are having a very laid back, easy new years. Chads home to help with the kiddos, which is so nice.
Hopefully today is the worst of it, and it doesn’t get any worse the next couple of days! I have a mammogram/ultrasound and meeting with my surgeon the 14th of Jan. We will see how I’m responding to the chemo, and hopefully schedule surgery as well.
Happy New Years! 🎉
