Brent Wunder and Family
First of all, THANK YOU to everyone that has reached out, prayed for us, sent groceries, giftcards, monetary donations, meals, rides for our kids, the list could go on and on. We are completely overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring from our family and friends. There is no way that we could be doing this without y'all.
We have been busy since Brent was released from the hospital! He is recovering very quickly from the surgery- he's been to watch Wyatt play baseball, was able to attend Ella's grad party, has gone to church, and is now driving! He has impressed us all with his Faithfulness, positive outlook, and determination. We have spent the last week setting up appointments, talking to doctors, and determining our next steps.
We have met with 3 local oncologists- Emory, Atlanta Cancer Care, and Georgia Cancer Specialists. They were all great and offered some similar and some differing ideas on how to treat this cancer. We have 3 more appointments set up over the next week- MD Anderson, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and Dana Farber. All local oncologists that we met with are very willing and open to collaborating, so we are hoping to use all of these brilliant doctors to come up with the best, most successful treatment for Brent. More details to follow on treatment plan once we have all of the tests, opinions, and options in front of us-hopefully by the end of next week. All so far have been in agreement that we can wait until after Ella's graduation to start the chemo treatments :)
Again, we can't begin to express our gratitude for all that is being done for our family. We love each and every one of you and ask that you continue to pray for us. Specifically for discernment and guidance when it comes to treatment plan, for the cancer to leave his body and be cured, and please continue to pray for our family.
Much love,
Lyndsy
