So we are now close to reaching the start of junior year for Brea.  Since she left the hospital in July, she 
pretty much has been on a chemo hold. She did end up having a surgery to put a stent in her bile duct.
 
We consulted with the liver specialist who has had Brea undergo a liver biopsy and genetic 
testing to look further into these extreme liver issues.

We will find out if there is any pre-existing liver condition or if she is simply dealing with an extreme sensitivity to chemo.  She does have to complete maintenance phase of chemo until December 2026, so it is very important to find a level of medication that she can tolerate.

Until then, we are excited that she will start school next week feeling pretty good.  She has been busy doing a Lego drive for childhood cancer awareness month and working towards getting her license.
