One of Bjorn's favorite things to do at the grocery store is to help put produce in the bags, especially apples! "Apple" was actually one of the first words he would say consistently that most people can understand. He gets extremely excited as soon as he sees them and we can't leave the store without buying at least one.

Grocery shopping is quickly becoming more difficult for our family. Within the next 6 months to a year Bjorn will likely not fit in the seat meant for toddlers in the front of the cart. Our options at that point will be to bring him in the store in his wheelchair (he tries to escape) or only frequent stores that have carts that have inclusive seats meant for larger kids and adults with disabilities. We are hopeful that Bjorn makes enough progress in the upcoming months and year, both cognitively and physically, that grocery shopping will still be a fun and viable activity for him.
