This week has been nothing short of exhausting — nearly 20 hours of therapy + hyperbaric treatments and 15 hours of driving. But every single bit of it was SO worth it!

We visited a DMI center that also specializes in CFT (Cranial Facial Therapy), and it was amazing. I’ve said it before, but this week really hit the nail on the head for us: go to all the specialists. Every single therapist we’ve seen is passionate in a slightly different area, and each one brings something unique that truly benefits Benny. 💛

This journey is far from easy — it’s a constant juggle. I feel like I missed out on work time this week (and if I don’t work, I don’t make money), and I feel like I missed out on a lot with my girlies. But at the same time, I saw so much good with Benny. It’s a never-ending mental battle… one I wouldn’t trade, but one that stretches me daily. I am so Thankful for Travis, we do make an amazing team! 

Through it all, Benny has been doing amazing weaning off phenobarbital, and as of Thursday we’ll be completely off this medication 🙌 Please continue to lift him up in prayer for no breakthrough seizures. We believe God’s hand is on him, and without Him this journey would feel so much harder — even impossible. 

The silver lining? This center is on the Kansas side, accepts Medicaid, and does DMI — hello unicorn!! 
If you’re in Kansas, definitely look into @toptherapyict— Kit is incredible. Because Benny qualifies (and because I’ll never stop searching for the very best for him), we’ll be seeing Kit on a contract basis twice a month now-December we will drive to Andover for this! 

Looking ahead… we are just 2 weeks away from heading back to Indiana! This time we’ll only be there for 1 week, but we are so looking forward to another DMI session with their amazing team! 

In the meantime, we’ll be completing 10 more hyperbaric sessions over the next two weeks. Lots of hard work ahead, but all of it is worth it for Benny’s growth. 🙌

And an extra blessing this week — a local therapist who has been working toward her DMI certifications will begin working with us right here at our house!! We are so excited and so thankful. Truly, this is nothing short of God’s hand at work — sending blessings in the right season and continuing to lead the way.
