Day 357
We just received word that the girls have appealed the restitution decision. We’re struggling to understand how they believe they shouldn’t have to contribute even one year toward Benny’s needs—when the reality is, he faces a lifetime of care, therapies, and equipment just to make progress and we have to live, we deserve to live a good life with Benny!

We never expected more than what is fair. Honestly, we were more than generous with our request. I did not argue with the judge I accepted his first offer after I spent over an hour on the Stand being questioned by her attorney explaining In detail every single receipt because honestly we’re thankful for whatever we get! God will provide somehow someway.

The funds raised have helped us survive those beginning impossible months—keeping the lights on, covering emergency care, his medical intensives in 2024&2025 and meeting his most urgent needs. What remains now is being saved for what else he might need we don’t know what might pop up tomorrow or 3 years from now, and one thing we’re desperately working toward is an in-home hyperbaric chamber to give Benny the chance at the healing he deserves, but we not only have to get the chamber but we have to get a place to put it because as you all know my business is in our master bedroom.

We shouldn’t feel the need to explain how we survive or where every dollar goes. But I will say this—We work our asses off to be able to give our children a sense of normalcy. When we ever do something special, it’s because I hustle extra that month with my business or permanent jewelry to create those moments. That’s the only way we get them. For those of you that shop with me, THANK YOU!

Please, pray over our family. Pray for peace, clarity, and for the doors God wants open to be the ones that stay open. We appreciate each and every one of yph and all ypu have done and continue to do to help our family! We know He’s using Benny’s story for something bigger—and we’re walking faithfully through every hard chapter, but truthfully I feel completely depleted and utterly disgusted 💛

Benny will require expensive care for the rest of his life due to these women’s gross negligence. The restitution they were ordered to pay is hardly a drop in the bucket. Not only should it not be lowered, quite frankly if the law allowed it should be greatly increased. This was a normal healthy child and the actions and inactions of these women changed that and it should be reflected in their requirement towards his medical care.

It makes NO sense that these girls believe they shouldn’t be held accountable. I thought the sentence was way too lenient to begin with. They owe your family so much more. You should not feel you have to explain yourself at all. We all see how hard you’re working and how much you’re doing to give Benny the best possible life, and I know we can’t imagine how hard this is. You have so many prayers going up constantly for sweet Benny and for you all, and Jesus will stay with you always.
