As usual, I'm feeling grateful to be done #3 of 16!
Chemo day is actually delightful.  As many before me have found, you feel good that day (a combination of the pre-meds such as steroids/fluids, the kindness of the nurses, and the joy of time to catch up with a sweet friend who joined me for the 90 minutes of kid-free chatting).  Plus, it feels like you're actually doing something productive to fight the cancer.

Good signs:
Yesterday my oncologist PA said again how promising the Enhertu drug is for people that can tolerate it, and so far so good.  I'm the first person she has treated using Ehertu before surgery (my onc doctors are more familiar of course but it shows how new it is), and we are grateful this newly approved drug is working (the lump above my collarbone is clearly shrinking, which is a good sign).

Coming up:
Then my week after chemo is tricky, but manageable.  I have nausea and some fatigue, as if it's a planned flu that you know is coming and can work around.  The medicines help lots.  This time, it will be next Sunday - Friday, which also coincides with my first week back to work.  Yep, work!  I feel okay about this.  I love my job, and I do best when I'm busy, and distracted.  We have an incredible community of support, and I'll take off when needed.  My oncologist approved working full time until Thanksgiving, but then taking a planned leave for the winter during the hardest parts of treatment, surgery, radiation, and also during cold/illness season.
