UPDATE 💫🙏🏼
KIC Housing contacted me and was able to secure temporary lodging for my children and me, with continued support available while we work toward a more permanent housing solution. I’m so grateful for that help.
The underlying housing situation is still unresolved. We are a single-mom household; I am disabled, and both of my children have recognized additional needs that affect what housing and support work well for our family.
Right now, we could use help with warm meals and groceries, finding a 1–2 bedroom short-term or month-to-month rental, heated storage, and help retrieving, sorting, selling, donating, and moving belongings.
We also really need safe community connection — trusted adults, families with kiddos, and kind, consistent people in our lives.
I’m continuing to advocate for my children’s assessments and services and could use support navigating those systems. We will most likely need to travel up North & need an addiontal trustworthy adult companion.
I am also still looking for free or pro bono legal assistance, including attorneys or advocates experienced with tenant rights, unsafe housing conditions, fair housing, disability accommodations, personal safety, SA, or protective orders.
