Today's Status & Care:
  • Stable & Resting: Everything is holding steady today, and he was sleeping hard for most of the day getting some much-needed rest.
  • Brain Drain: Fluid drainage remains slow and manageable.

Testing & Next Steps:
  • Clavicle X-Ray: He had an X-ray done on his clavicle (collarbone) today, and we are waiting on the results.
  • CT Scan:  He had a CT scan and neurosurgeon reviewing. 
  • Surgery Scheduled: Surgery is planned for tomorrow for the permanent VP shunt, provided everything remains stable.
  • Brain Wave Trial: The care team decided to postpone the brain wave trial until after his surgery is complete and he is fully stabilized.

Please keep Austin in your prayers tonight and through tomorrow as he heads into surgery!
