Asher Blue
Asher slept more comfortably last night, much more relaxed than he has been. Today we noticed a lot more stiff extension of his limbs than we’ve seen.
When I got in the chamber with him today I was completely overcome with sorrow. I couldn’t help but just weep as I held my boy through the treatment, praying and begging to have my sweet boy back as he was knit together. I watched others with their children come in and out and felt so sad. I absolutely refuse to accept anything other than complete healing for this funny, smart, sweet, determined, strong, rambunctious, adventurous boy. He was knit together in my womb perfectly healthy and perfectly healthy he will be. He has to be. And our God will do it. He will do it because He promises good things to His children, blessings for obedience. We are being refined. We will not be consumed by this fire. This thing the enemy tried to do will not succeed.
We refuse to let sorrow consume us so we truck on. I got a new blender and was able to get some good stuff mixed up for him. His body likes it much better than the packaged garbage they call “tube feed.” Better poops, less throwing up, makes me feel better lol. It seems we have a new reflex return-the sneeze. I know it doesn’t seem big, but there’s lots of things our bodies do that I never paid much attention to before and bit by bit, they’re coming back. Swallowing is the next big goal. That will cut down on a lot of the suctioning we have to do and on the drooling.
Send us prayers and declarations of life and healing to read to him. He’s in there and he hears us. We’ve seen tears and even though it breaks our hearts we know that’s a good thing. ABBA made us in His image and our bodies know how to heal. Asher is healing.
Thank you ABBA for Asher’s restoration, for giving us back the sweet boy you blessed us with. Thank you for healing his body and mind and helping them talk to one another. Thank you for giving him the ability to walk, run, jump, climb, dance, skip, swim, talk, read, sing, yell, and laugh. Thank you for giving our girls their Asher back. They have missed him so much. Thank you for letting the two boys bond and letting Asher teach Ezra the ropes around the house. Thank you for drawing us closer to You. Thank you for showing us what it means to bear one another’s burdens so we can be a blessing to others in their time of need. Guide us in our walks as you continue to refine us. Thank you.
