Today we reduced our pressure support to 12 on the vent. He's doing great with that. They added another antibiotic that goes through his ventilator since his most recent sputum culture showed more bacteria even after being on the IV antibiotics for 11 days. He's still having a lot of discharge from his mouth from his tongue and tons of thick snot coming from his nose. 

We had a consultation with a functional med doc today that specializes in brain rehab. She recommended a number of therapies that we can start immediately while still in the hospital. Some of these, specifically, target laser therapy, are pretty costly and we would very much appreciate any financial support you feel led to provide. There are some other changes she recommended we make to our routine while in the hospital that will help mind/body connection and neuroplasticity for better long-term outcomes so we'll be incorporating those starting right now. 

He has been opening his eyes and blinking with stimulation. I was talking to him yesterday afternoon and he cried two tiny tears and my heart just completely broke for my sweet boy. 

His sedation was lowered again and they have started the weaning schedule for the methadone.  Memorial Hermann said they would not accept him for HBOT. 

We have noticed he prefers some staff members over others. He responds better to those that talk to him.  

Continue to pray with us for our boy, for complete healing and restoration, for victory over the enemy's plans for him, for a testimony to boast of Yah's goodness and power.  We have the bathroom door nearly covered with photos of him so we can easily be reminded of the spirited child that he is and how much fun he has been these last two years. Yah is faithful.
