Family, friends, and amazing community of supporters,
We are floored by the support that has come in for Ari.
Ari has read each and every message. It has lifted his spirit. And ours. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. "Thank you" doesn't even cut it but it will have to work for now. You all kept us crying tears of joy. The generosity from people near and far, from then and from now, it has been incredible. We have witnessed a community stretching across the country and the globe and spanning decades of relationships and eras and life changes weave together around Ari and our family. Thank you and thank you again.
Some good news: We have received insurance authorization for Brooks Rehab, and within a day, a space has opened up for him in the pediatric unit. If all goes as planned, he will be transported to Jacksonville on Sunday. This is huge. The last couple of days at UF Shands, as wonderful as this hospital is, has begun to feel like a holding pattern as we circle the airport waiting to land, and it has been wearing on Ari. He (and we) are ready for the rehabilitation to begin.
I will write more soon about the last couple of days here but wanted to make sure to get this "thank you" out to all of you soon. We have entered a new world. There are some giants here helping Ari and us navigate through this whirlwind. We are still in shock but we are so thankful for all of you who are easing the way.
