Waiting for Important Appointments at Vanderbilt.
We are in the early stages of a serious medical situation. After I recently experienced severe belly pain, nausea, throwing up, and trouble eating, we went to the ER, where doctors found two lumps in my belly. One is in a place called the mesentery (a fold in the stomach area), and one is below my stoma (an opening on my stomach for waste to exit).
I have a condition called Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP), which is caused by a change in the APC gene. FAP led to the removal of my colon and rectum two years ago, in 2024. Because of these new symptoms, I cannot work consistently and may be out of work for some time as we go through more tests and possible treatment.
Right now, we need financial help to cover living expenses and medical costs. Any support is a big help as we navigate through this challenging and uncertain time.
