Hi All, 

Still on the ventilator today sadly. Mentally, she's with it. She's answering questions and making requests. Breaking out some of her high school sign language and a lot of eye pointing. 

Physically, there is some fluid in Annie's body (including lungs) that's had some trouble moving. Hence the breathing tube staying in place. Her care team has been excellent, focusing on preventative measures as well as problem solving, and we have friends that are doctors we can talk to when we have questions away from the hospital. 

I know it's scary. It's scary for us too, but I probably won't update again until we either have a diagnosis or the breathing tube has been taken out. So just know for now we are waiting on test results, making her as comfortable as possible, and will let people know when they can visit. Right now it's rest, doctors, and taking care of things in the outside world that have been the most helpful for her.
