Hi everyone!
I am taking a moment to connect & catch up. I am back in Charlotte & will be here until next Monday.  I start transfusion chemo Wednesday  for 5 consecutive days; an aggressive attack on the fast growing AML.  THEN I GET TO GO HOME UNTIL NOV 5 (can you tell I am excited?). Following these two rounds of chemo, along w oral chemo,  doc will know next steps. 1) more chemo bc the  cancer cells are still growing or 2) pause and see if I need bone marrow transplant (bmt) .   I am hoping I won't, but remaining open.

The journey has been taxing, but nothing like what I have yet to face.
If I need a bmt, and I am hoping I don't, it will be a rough 3 months- one in the hospital & 60 days at home w a caregiver near the hospital.  That is my next big challenge; finding who will be with me for those 60 days and paying for that. Needless to say, I hope I do not need the bmt.

I don't know what else to say except throughout all of this   I feel so Loved & blessed.

I am trying to stay fully present & listen to what this cancer has to say to me.  Some days are better than others.

All prayers and energy are welcomed. 🙏🏽🌹🐝🫂

I am most assuredly praying for you, Angel! I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cervical cancer in Mar. this year & have already been thru 6 rounds of chemo & am expecting radiation & surgery in the future. Here if you need someone who's been through some similar challenges recently to talk to my sweet friend, I am here!
