Why we're sharing this need!

Some of you might be asking why we're sharing this need in this way and the answer is simply that we know the odds if we are not able to offer a bed and wraparound care to two teens who have reached out on their own behalf for help.  The average waitlist for programs like ours in our state is 2 months.  They don't have 2 months.  Both have been severely impacted by broken people and systems who should have protected them.  Like many young women we serve, one has been sitting in Juvenile Detention for nearly a year waiting for a suitable program to open up for her without success.  She is now being released but is asking to not just be released to what she knew before, but to a program like ours that will walk with her in her transition from survival to building a life of thriving and sustainability.  What we know is that without a program, over 80% of victims of sex trafficking will be revictimized by a trafficker.  We are nearly 5% to our goal in less than 24 hours and we are asking for everyone's help in sharing this need and rallying around these young ladies like you would if it were your loved one or someone in your teen's life.  These could be any of our daughters and they are worthy of every chance of safety and to break cycles of trauma and exploitation.  A bed has the power to save a life!
