Our Journey to an Accessible Van for Elijah Continues: We Got a Ramp!

We're excited to share that we have a ramp for our house, which means we're one step closer to taking Elijah's power wheelchair to appointments! Our old van has broken down plenty of times, and we need a more reliable one. It's important for us to have adventures and make the world more inclusive (where everyone belongs). But to do so, we need a van that works well and keeps us safe.

Right now, Elijah's power wheelchair is too heavy to lift safely without a proper van. That's why we need a new accessible van. It must fit 6-7 people and Elijah's wheelchair. But these vans are very expensive, about $90,000! This includes a special lift system and safety features.

We have started a fundraising campaign to help get a new van. Our community has always been there for us, and we hope you can help again. By donating or sharing our story, you're helping Elijah and our family get to medical care, fun outings, and therapy safely.
