As both my dogs are quite large and VERY needy, I am concerned about their over-excitement and need to be close to me immediately after surgery. I do not want to risk any damage to incision sites or infection etc and am hoping that someone will be open to housing one or both of them for about a week when I first get home after surgery. Luna walks wonderfully on leash but can be a jumper at first. She is kennel trained for when alone or at night to sleep. She's only ten months old and doesn't realize how large she is and loves to lay on me. Yogi hates his gentle leader and tends to pull on walks. He doesn't jump as much but will a bit when I first come home after leaving. They are both wonderful dogs and I know it's going to be hard on me emotionally to not have them at home but I feel that this will be best for us.
