Hey Everyone,

We are incredibly grateful for all of your support. This will all go a long way toward Alli’s treatment.
As we continue to research the best next step forward, we are hopeful to find a program that will help to reduce or eliminate Alli’s non-epileptic seizures.
FND is a tricky disorder, as each individual suffers from different symptoms. Not everyone has these full body seizures, so it’s been a challenge to find a specialist who is experienced in this area of FND.
If you know anyone who suffers from this, or any neuro specialists who would be willing to have a consultation, we’d appreciate being connected to them.
Thank you all so much!!
Please keep sharing the link with your online and offline communities and we’ll keep you updated.

Specific Support & Programs Beyond Standard Care ReACT FND Health Telehealth: ReACT (Retraining and Control Therapy) is a specialized, evidence-based cognitive-behavioral protocol built specifically to target and retrain functional seizures. It is delivered via telehealth across North Carolina by certified FND psychologists, making it accessible without long-distance travel. Multidisciplinary Functional Neurology & Neuro-Rehab: Non-pharmacological neuro-rehabilitation clinics—such as Carolina Functional Neurology Center (locations in Raleigh and Charlotte) or local functional neurology centers like Apex Brain Centers right here in Asheville—focus on neuroplasticity, sensory-motor integration, and autonomic retraining specifically for movement disorders and functional seizures. FND-Informed Physical & Occupational Therapists: Standard physical therapy often accidentally reinforces seizure/movement triggers. Sharing the FND Physical Therapy Clinical Guidelines (available on fndhope.org) can help them locate physical therapists who know how to retrain movement patterns safely. FND Peer Support & Education Networks: Pointing them to FND Hope International or the FND Society gives them access to vetted peer-support networks, patient education toolkits, and provider directories created by people who actually understand functional seizures.
