Mom's night was ok and she seems really comfortable on meds today (may be too much pain meds), but we're ok with that for a day or two for her to catch up on her sleep and feel a bit better.

She actually answered her phone yesterday which was a first in 2 weeks and shocked us!   Hoping she's back to some old habits soon but maybe not while high on pain meds LOL. 

Having visitors is a tiny bit tricky because of a code to get into the IMCU and lots of stuff we like to share with visitors, but I'll publish a sign up form on this site shortly.   However, mom having some different visitors would greatly help Amy and me.  She loves having people there even if she's dozing off (so if you go, bring a book or something).  Anyway - more to come on that. 

The other great news is I spoke to the doctor (cardio, who spoke with surgeons). They are hoping to maybe get her drains out this weekend and then she'll have a wound vac to help her abdomen heal and then maybe get to rehab next week.  Hoping after this last surgery mom is still qualified for the hospital's in patient rehab because it would be the best option.  If not, she'll go home and do rehab there but we aren't quite sure she'd be ready for that.  More to come!
