Today, Aisha completed Round 2 of her chemotherapy, and we are thrilled to share that she handled it with incredible grace! She’s now back home and doing really well, thanks to everyone’s love and support. 

 

Aisha is overwhelmed (in the best possible way) by the outpouring of support, love, and well wishes from all of you. She has been moved to tears, and your heartfelt messages have truly lifted her spirits. She has a long gratitude list that includes each and every one of you- and that list grows exponentially every day! 

 

We also want to highlight the amazing support from Shaun, who has been a rock during this journey. He’s taken two months off work to be there for Aisha and the kids, and he will resume work in early March. For this reason, we opted to hold off on dinner drop-offs until March when Shaun heads back to the office - as the support need will be much higher! (Of course if anyone wishes to drop off goodies to their house anytime- they will happily consume and be extremely grateful!) 

 

Looking ahead, Kai and Zehn will be starting group therapy in January, which we hope will provide them with the support they need as they go through this journey together.  Thank you so much to the amazing friends who have offered to pick up the kids for play dates and outings- they are so so appreciative! 

 

Also in January, Aisha will transition her care from Kaiser, where she has had a wonderful experience, to Moore’s Cancer Center at UCSD, where she has been strongly encouraged to continue her treatment. Her first oncology appointment at Moore’s is on January 9th, and we are very optimistic about this next chapter!
