Aiden is a FIGHTER

As many of you know Aiden was taken to the ER Saturday night and underwent surgery Sunday as a result of his feeding tube being dislodged. The surgery took longer than expected as they had to remove the old one, place a new one all while being very careful not to disrupt his shunt tubing. It was such a careful technical surgery that needed to be done. So we are happy to report they did not need to redo the shunt tubing as that would require them going back into his head. After the surgery, Aiden continued to bleed so they placed stitches around both incision areas Monday. He still had not received any feeding since Friday and his blood levels were low. Tuesday he began coughing up blood and after a blood transfusion, they did the endoscopy procedure to identify where the bleeding was coming from. He then was rushed off to surgery to stop the internal bleeding. The surgeons ended up placing sutures around all tubing areas and glue to help prevent any bleeds but ultimately they could not find the bleed. Our prayers today are that there are no more bleeds, no more surgeries; that Aiden is comfortable and pain-free. His body is weak but he is strong and he is a FIGHTER.
