Help Angie & Adam After Major Accident
I didn't really get to talk to the kids too much today to check in. I was excited to share with them that I was able to find another sleeper for Anaya with magnets that will be easier for Angie once she is allowed to carry her. I have also reached out to a Birmingham Mom's Facebook group where some of the moms have offered up their magnetic closing baby clothes as well. One member suggested reaching out to the manufacturer of the clothes so I did that as well.
With as emotional as I am at this time, I am sure that the weight of the situation weighs even heavier on Angie and Adam. There is a constant roller coaster of highs and lows, never knowing where the next curve or drop is coming from, or which way it leads. If creating these updates helps them, that's what I'm going to do. I'm a mom. A fixer. And a Gigi to one adorable little bundle of joy and lots of fur pups. So when you text me, and it takes a while to respond or if you call, and I openly sob on the phone, just know that I am so appreciative of everything that YOU have done: text messages, phone calls, sending money for coffee, donating to their support fund, buying groceries for meal prep, we have seen it all, and are humbled by it.
Last minute preparations are underway for the weekend. The freezer will be delivered tomorrow. Such an amazing gift! Tomorrow will be a whirlwind! It starts with flights to Birmingham coming from Tampa, FL and Fort Wayne, IN. Upon landing, we are headed to the architecture firm where Emily, Adam's sister, works. There are multiple employees there who are loaning us food processors for the weekend. After that, we are headed to Walmart to pick up the smaller, non-perishable items that haven't been already delivered via Amazon. From there, we will head to Angie & Adam's! Then the snuggles will commence! Saturday morning will be the delivery of all the meat and fresh veggies from Sam's Club as well as a quick trip to Walmart for the frozen veggies that we will be adding for our meal prep. We are anticipating having 40-50 meals prepped and ready to go straight from the freezer to the Instant Pot at any time to take a little bit of the stress out of their day.
We are hoping to set up a live cam for our Prep Fest on Saturday so that our friends, family, and supporters can login and chat with us! So many of you have told us you wish you could come help... this is your chance to be a part of this great memory that we are creating!
Until tomorrow...
