First of all, I need to give a shout out to my amazing, faith-filled, fearless warrior husband, who's birthday is today. Jesus is his cornerstone and he works diligently to build our home upon this cornerstone. I admire and respect him deeply and am so grateful for the leadership he provides in our family. He is such a strong man of God and I pray that our boys will glean much from him. Happy birthday Jon!

Secondly, we are thrilled to have received Zeke's bike. When he saw the bike in the garage, he giggled his sweetest giggle. If you know, you know. Zeke's laugh can brighten the darkest days. It's like a balm to the heart. It was precious to hear and he was so excited. It was also so much fun to hear Zane's genuine excitement for Zeke. I was so proud of him. He was so very excited for Zeke to finally have a bike that I think he may have been even more excited than Zeke was - if that's possible lol.

When we took Zeke out for his first bike ride, Zane was so proud of Zeke and said to every neighbor we saw, "do you see Zeke's new bike? Isn't it awesome?" Zane even had an opportunity to push Zeke and did a wonderful job with that responsibility. What a cool bonding experience for the two of them. The kids in the neighborhood responded well and were excited for Zeke too - and even cheered him on as he pedaled down the street. (I credit Zane for this b/c he did a great job making sure everyone saw his brother and knew this was a BIG deal.)

I realize the pictures I posted make it seem like he can do it all by himself, so I apologize for that. He can pedal about 3-4 times by himself but he still needs assistance with the bike. I just didn't have anyone to take a picture of him while I was pushing and I wanted to share it with all of you asap.

I hope that you enjoy the pictures as much as I do. To be able to capture both of my boys outside on their bikes was so heartwarming to me. My heart swelled with joy.

Oh, and interesting side note. Zeke is typically really sensitive to heat but he LOVES the bike so much he choose to stay outside in the heat for an HOUR just so he could ride his bike. That is a testament to how much he enjoys it. It make Jon and me chuckle a bit b/c we now we have proof Zeke can handle the heat - when he wants to. ;)

The past couple of weeks have been challenging for me emotionally, but this moment, as well as the moments we have had inside dancing while he is in his stander, has really nourished my heart. It's been a huge blessing. Thank you to all of you who prayed, donated and voted. We are so grateful.
