It was a trying day...

Yesterday was a trying day.

(1) We won't find out about the fair hearing until 6/4. MAYBE before then, but definitely by then.

(2) I found out that Medicaid won't cover virtual PT. This was a big bummer b/c it is hard to find Medicaid PTs that have the same vision and methodology as me.

(3) I also found out that the pre-authorization I received for the first intensive might not be upheld b/c Medicaid can still deny coverage. And I might have to do another fair hearing if they do deny. Now, remember, this is a fair hearing I already did, cried for 20 minutes about afterward and then was told it was moot b/c of the pre-auth.

(4) I am not able to get into any of Zeke's Medicaid information b/c they - whoever "they" are decided that Zeke would get adult Medicaid and removed me and Jon from his account. I have thus far spent 3.5 hours on hold trying to fix this and went around and around. And yet no solution.

It was a trying day yesterday. Very frustrating. It was a burst into tears, punch a wall, scream at the top of my lungs type of day. I didn't punch a wall. I didn't scream at the top of my lungs. But I did cry.

Then I spoke to Zane and Zeke and told them I was grateful for what I learned in BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) this year. A tool to help me refocus on the Lord. We call them "when I believe" statements.

When I believe God is Sovereign, I will not need to scream or feel helpless b/c I know He has the whole situation under His good, kind control. I need not fear. I find solace in Him. I rest and listen, knowing He will guide me.

When I don't believe God is Sovereign, I panic and try to do everything myself. I feel beaten down by circumstances and fall prey to hopelessness. I get mad at the injustice and the poor treatment and I rage in anger.

This exercise of creating these statements were so grounding for me. They reminded me of WHO God is and why I can trust Him.

It was a trying day yesterday. But God drew me in.

Please pray as the Lord leads you to. I don't even know what specifically to ask for at this point, but I am so grateful for so many of you who faithfully lift us up in prayer. Holy Spirit knows exactly what we need.
