Zeke's Journey
I hope each of you enjoyed the 4th! We saw the boat tour in Ft. Pierce - it was quaint but fun! 💖 This year, we also took some time over our burgers and fries to share what we were most thankful for regarding the freedoms we enjoy here in the USA. We enjoyed some time in the pool and Zeke really loved matching Dada.
We are excited to share that we did get approved for the waiver. This is a HUGE deal and we are so grateful for the prayers and for this who helped put us in contact with the right people. Now, I have no idea how this newly passed bill is going to effect the waiver and the support we will receive from it but for today, I’m just choosing to be grateful we have been awarded the waiver. This is no small feat and sufficient celebrating and praise to the Lord is in order!
I was given an incredibly long list of people to navigate through to pick our WSC (our coordinator) and finally settled on ML. Will you start praying for ML? That she takes special interest in Zeke, seeing he can get all the funding he can for therapies and such, and will advocate and direct us well? Will you pray that she just adores our family and we find consistent favor with her? We have much to do this week with her - applying for Medicaid again, getting resources in place, and lots of paperwork. 🫣
Will you also pray specifically for tomorrow as we meet with his doctor - DMT? That DMT will hear us well, help us get Zeke’s gut protocol covered through insurance and that he will be impressed by the research I have done instead of annoyed? Will you pray that he will be a support instead of hinderance to changes we want to make for Zeke’s nutrition? We really like this doctor, but have not had as constant communication with him as we have had in the past, and I’m feeling a little nervous. Those of you who know me well know that often nervous Janina = intense Janina. Eek! Will you pray that my heart will stay calm, that I will communicate clearly, calmly and respectfully and that I don’t forget anything? Thank the Lord Jon will be with me this time!
Thank you so much!
