Day 9 & call to prayer

Day 9 was a good day.

Zeke was in his stander again, playing with shaving cream and foam paint. He loved hiding the animals in the shaving cream for Ms. Tally to find. And she hid them for him to find. This is actually a brilliant therapy bc one of the neuro things we are working on is integrating the right and left brain. You do that by working at midline. Tally always thinks of ways to keep him engaged. He did that for an hour - happily. So he stood for an hour, stretching his legs, and worked on his neuro. Good times.

He worked on his fine motor skills - pinching, cutting, etc and also played another game that focused on these skills. If you know Zeke, you know he LOVES board games.

He got to ride the bike again with brother at the end of the session.

We did get a denial on our appeal for this intensive, which means I have to do another fair hearing. Will you start praying over this now?

Also, I was just informed that the Representative I’ve been working with - the one who has been a massive blessing to our family - is in session right now. Bc this denial is actually illegal based on federal and state Medicaid law, I’ve reached out to him for assistance. I’m also praying that this will shine light on the injustice that happens on the regular with these denials. Will you pray fervently that he will be able to intervene on behalf of Zeke and I won’t have to do a fair hearing again - or ever - for intensives?

And will you pray this DOES shine light on these denials that are grossly ignoring Florida and federal law? And that possible changes will follow?

Finally, we did order the stander! Now we are waiting to see how God provides. Thank you for those of you who donated and shared our need. If you feel moved, please continue to share. We also Rifton for a discount we learned of. Will you pray that they will honor it even though we already paid?

To review for prayer:
(1) for the Representative to intervene and help us with this most recent denial. And that we never have to fight this fight again - that we will always be approved for intensive.

(2) Will you pray that whoever is reviewing our request at Rifton will have a soft heart and grant it?

I hope you all have a wonderful Super Bowl Sunday. Anyone else struggling to decide who to cheer for? Ha.
