Zeke's Journey
The last part of this week has been beautifully uneventful. Zeke is now back to his full feeds, we have received the full regime for his gut healing protocol and received the stamp of approval from every practitioner we saw this week. This is a huge praise.
We also began his new math curriculum this week, which we are both excited about. He is excited bc he loves math, I am excited bc I feel like this curriculum will meet his needs better as we can do a lot of games to learn and he can use eye gaze.
I wanted to share a pic with you that shows one of the games. He is learning number grouping and has to id tidy how many pieces of cheese is on a card to feed the mouse. The goal is just to recognize how many are on the paper without having to count each one. Notice the little wooden owls standing up. Each has a number. So Zeke will look at the picture and then at the corresponding number. It’s quite thrilling to see him do this bc he truly is learning so much.
Side note - if you see this little guy and you want to have a conversation with him, ask him yes/no or questions with two options. Then use your hands to offer the answers. Then you can have a full blown conversation with this little cutie.
Zane continues to blow me away with his patience and maturity in all these appointments. He is such an amazing brother and son. We have gotten to have some fun moments as a family this week as well, moments that nourished all of our souls, but especially Zane. So that’s another big praise!
