💙 **Zachary’s Update** 💙

We finally received Zachary’s biopsy results, and while there is still a long road ahead, we received some encouraging news.

The biopsy confirmed that Zachary has an Astrocytoma, IDH-mutant in his brainstem. The histological grading came back as grade 2 however, his surgeon told us they would be treating it as a grade 3 due to the location and size of the tumor.

When we first learned that there was a mass in Zachary’s brainstem, there were many unknowns and a lot of possibilities. We now know more about what he is fighting, and some of the results are more encouraging than we initially feared.

That being said, this is still a serious diagnosis, especially because the tumor is located in the brainstem. It was explained to us that his tumor is not a bundled up mass that can be removed in one whole piece, but instead it's intertwined around his vital brain structures. It's as if his brain is the noodles and the tumor is the sauce.

Zachary will need specialized treatment and close monitoring, and we are still waiting to meet with his oncology team to discuss the treatment plan and what comes next.

For now, we are taking things one step at a time and trying to focus on the positive news we have received. ❤️

We cannot thank everyone enough for the prayers, messages, donations, shares, raffle participation, and continued support. The amount of love surrounding Zachary and our family has been overwhelming in the best possible way.

Please continue to keep Zachary in your thoughts and prayers as we prepare for the next phase of his journey. We will continue to share updates here as we learn more. 💙🙏
