My name is Valerie, and I'm a mother of five amazing children. I'm writing this letter with hope that someone might be able to help make Christmas a little extra special for my family this year. This has been a challenging year for our household financially. I'm doing everything I can to keep things together and make sure my children have what they need, but sometimes even the everyday necessities become difficult to manage. This year, our biggest needs are warm winter clothing, coats, jackets, shoes and winter boots for the children. I also wanted to share a little about each of my children so that anyone who might be interested in helping can get to know them a little. ZHENIYA – Age 14 Zheniya is your typical teenage girl with her own personality and interests. She loves horror movies, especially Stranger Things, and enjoys all things beauty-related. She's into makeup, curly hair care products, skincare, lotions, perfume, jewelry, DIY kits, arts and crafts, and gift cards. She's also happy with little surprises. Clothing and shoe sizes: Shirts: XL/1X juniors or women's Pants: Women's size 14–16 Shoes: Women's size 11 wide (she prefers slides and slip-on shoes) Winter needs: Warm coat or hooded jacket, winter boots, hoodies and everyday clothing. KALIECE – Age 12 Kaliece is a fun, creative and tech-savvy girl who loves anime, electronics and exploring new things. She enjoys beauty products just like her older sister, including makeup, skincare, lotions, perfume, jewelry and curly hair care products. She also loves arts and crafts, DIY projects and creative activities. One special thing on her wish list is a telescope! Clothing and shoe sizes: Shirts: Medium juniors or women's Pants: Women's size 6 Coats and hoodies: Medium Shoes: Women's size 8 Winter needs: Warm coat or hooded jacket, winter boots, hoodies and everyday clothing. KAVION – Age 12 Kavion is another creative, tech-savvy girl who enjoys anime, electronics and all the fun things that come with being a teenager. She likes beauty products, makeup, curly hair care, skincare, lotions, perfume, jewelry, arts and crafts, DIY kits and fun accessories. She would also enjoy gift cards or anything that allows her to explore her interests. Clothing and shoe sizes: Shirts: Medium juniors or women's Pants: Women's size 6 Coats and hoodies: Medium Shoes: Women's size 8 Winter needs: Warm coat or hooded jacket, winter boots, hoodies and everyday clothing. KJ – Age 7 KJ is my sweet boy who loves anything artsy, creative and sensory-related. He enjoys activities that keep his hands busy, allow him to explore different textures and let him use his imagination. He would enjoy sensory toys, art supplies, building activities and just about anything fun and engaging. Clothing and shoe sizes: Clothing: Boys sizes 8–10 Shoes: Boys size 4 Winter needs: Warm hooded coat or jacket, winter boots, everyday clothing and shoes. ZYREN – Age 4 Zyren is my happy little guy who enjoys just about everything! He's especially interested in marbles, marble runs, building toys and anything that lets him explore, create and play. He's not very picky and gets excited about the simplest things. Clothing and shoe sizes: Clothing: 4T/5T Shoes: Little boys size 12 Winter needs: Warm hooded coat or jacket, winter boots, everyday clothing and shoes. A LITTLE ABOUT OUR FAMILY I want to emphasize that these are simply things my children enjoy and ideas to help anyone who might want to make their Christmas a little special. They are grateful children, and they truly would be happy with anything someone might be willing to give. More than anything, I would be incredibly grateful for help with their winter necessities, especially warm coats, jackets, winter boots, shoes and clothing. Gift cards, toys, creative activities or anything someone might be able to contribute would also mean so much. I'm not expecting anyone to provide everything on this list, and even helping with one child or one item would make a difference for our family. As a mother, it's not always easy admitting when you need a little help. I work hard to provide for my children, and I'm doing everything I can to make this Christmas a happy one for them despite the challenges we're facing right now. Thank you for taking the time to read our letter and for considering our family. We are truly grateful for any kindness, generosity or thoughtfulness someone may be willing to share. Wishing everyone a warm, happy and blessed Christmas! With gratitude, Valerie
