My dream is not an extravagant home filled with expensive things. It is a safe, welcoming place where my three children can laugh around the dinner table, curl up together on the couch, and experience the peace and comfort of a stable family home. As we work toward securing permanent housing, furnishing that home presents another significant financial challenge. This wish would help provide basic household furnishings and kitchen essentials, including a dining table, chairs, a couch, cookware, dishes, utensils, and other necessities that make a house functional and comfortable. To some, these are simply pieces of furniture and everyday household items. To my children and me, they represent family dinners, bedtime routines, laughter, togetherness, and the opportunity to build beautiful memories in a place we can finally call our own.
