We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has given financially, prayed for us, and offered a hand to help with our flooring installation.
On Father’s Day weekend, 10 incredible men showed up to install flooring in our living room and kitchen!
Willow is already zooming through the house and exploring new places—and let me tell you, her army crawl is FAST now 😂. Without the carpet slowing her down, she is constantly disappearing, just like every 18-month-old should be.
She’s even pushing her tiny wheelchair with ease now and starts panting with excitement when she realizes she can move herself through a room independently. Watching her gain this confidence has been such a joy.
There is still much to do to make our home fully accessible for Willow, but we now have the resources needed to make some of the bigger renovation decisions. We still have ramps to build and a few things to adjust, and we’re hoping to have everything completed by mid-fall.
This fall, Willow will be having orthopedic surgery and will be in casts for several weeks. She should also have her custom-made medical wheels by then. Our hope and prayer is that the house will be fully ready so she can have as much independence as possible during her recovery.
Through all of this, we have been humbled by the way our community has served us. We have truly seen the Body of Christ at work, and it has impacted our family deeply.
I can’t wait to watch Willow’s story and testimony unfold. One day, I hope she understands the impact she has had on so many people—and the impact others have had on us because of her life. Spina Bifida certainly brings challenges, and things are often more complicated, but we are genuinely thankful that the Lord has called us to walk this journey. He has never left our side, and we continue to see Him at work in our family and in the people around us.
