July is Disability Pride Month, and for our family, it is a beautiful reminder that every person is intentionally created by God and made in His image.
While Willow’s journey looks different than many others, it is no less filled with purpose. God didn’t make a mistake when He created her. He has used her life to reveal His faithfulness, grow our family’s faith, and remind us that true strength is so often found in what the world calls weakness.

We celebrate Disability Pride Month because every life has immeasurable value, every person reflects God’s creativity, and every individual deserves to be seen, loved, and included. A lot of times, this calls for changes to be made in the able bodied world we live in.

Willow has changed our hearts in ways we never could have imagined. Through her contentment, determination, and joy, she reminds us daily that our identity is never found in our abilities, but in being deeply loved by Christ.
My prayer is that she grows up knowing she is wonderfully made, treasured by her Creator, and surrounded by a community that sees her for who God says she is.
