Happy Sunday!
Quamaree has been dealing with an ongoing UTI/ scrotum wall infection.
It started months ago (August 2024) as most of you know. Symptoms were treated… surgery was done.. more antibiotics.. but yet it hasn’t fully resolved. The last few weeks he has been back and forth between Nemours children’s hospital in Orlando and home… so more ultrasounds and imaging has been done to figure out the route to all of this. And how we can finally just beat it! Because antibiotic after antibiotic has really been doing a lot on his body and health… and this mama is ready for it to be over!
He has a utrical (appears like an abnormal cyst) that is retaining urine and it’s sitting for a long time becoming infected, and infecting everything else. So once we get it under control (he’s on double antibiotics right now) he will undergo another surgery… a minimally invasive one… robotic surgery to get rid of the utrical. Chances of sepsis are too high right now to do the surgery so we are waiting a bit longer. He will go for an MRI within the next few weeks and we will go from there.
