Well, this is unexpected...
What started as a routine visit turned into being admitted. We are here for monitoring all weekend, with an ultrasound planned for Monday. Ariana has had forward flow for the last month. Today, she was back to absent flow. They also couldn't get any good readings of her ductus venosus.
Because she was doing so well, they wanted to make sure this wasnt a precursor to something bad happening. The term "stillborn" coming from your doctor is heart breaking.
I am hoping to be here short term, but they did mention the chance that we deliver earlier than anticipated or I am admitted until we get further along. I signed all the consent forms already in case they have to take them quickly.
This means I am not able to work for an undisclosed amount of time, and I can only see my kids when they can come down here. My husband has to be home with them and to continue to bring in a paycheck. He is my rock and my heart is hurting. I have cried more tears today than I can count.
I received the first of two steroid injections today, and will receive the second tomorrow. This will hopefully help their lungs if they have to take them.
Please pray that everything works out.
