Hello Everyone-

It's been a few weeks since Ube has been discharged, and I want to give out an update on the entire journey he had.

-Ube's urinary blockage escalated to a liquid build up to his lungs, which was causing heart failure due to a potential underlying heart disease that we weren't aware of. The ER had to drain both his lungs with syringes to flush it out. He was then placed in an oxygen box to be observed and supported.

-However, the fluids had returned and Ube had to be transferred to MedVet for more support and specialized care that the ER could not provide. He was also scheduled to see a cardiologist as well to find out whether or not he had a heart condition.

-Ube was medicated and given proper support during his stay in the hospital and was recovering properly. The cardiologist was able to give a proper prognosis as well.

-Ube doesn't have a heart condition. But due to the urinary blockage, his body was not able to handle all the IV fluids he was receiving, hence the heart failure scare from the liquid build up in his lungs. So essentially his body was overworked and overwhelmed.

-His recovery the past two weeks has been slow and steady but great. He was on gabapentin for a while to ease the pain and have him relax, as he was acting as if nothing happened to him. But his body was still struggling with what he wants to do vs what can he do.

-So he has been enjoying his new birdhouse since he's returned. He's slowly getting used to his new prescribed diet, and he's using the litter box which is all great signs.

-Currently he is now off the gabapentin and has one more week of furosemide to get any remaining liquids out of system. But he has a lot of energy and love to give as of now, but I still am monitoring him, as I don't want to take him out on his stroller walks yet. But we're in a good place as of now.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you for supporting Ube at those critical moments. It was not an event that neither of us had expected, nor wanted. Each and everyone one of you made a difference in helping him go through the tough times and emotional heartaches when he was facing Death's door at multiple moments. Do not think that the final donations here were not enough as this was more than plenty to help him. Ube and I are eternally grateful and thankful for all of this love and support. This guy deserves the world, and has so much more to give.

I will provide a proper itemized list once the dust has settled, as it's been a nonstop train ride.

Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts- you all made a difference to ensure that Ube gets to enjoy life itself.
