Continuing the Fight

We have some encouraging news to share. Following a recent MRI, we learned that there has been no tumor growth between the MRI performed in March and the most recent scan on July 15th.

He will begin another round of chemotherapy on July 18th, consisting of 5 days of treatment followed by a 23-day break. This cycle will then repeat—5 days of chemotherapy followed by a 23-day break—for at least the next six months. They will be gradually increasing the dosage and strength of the chemo with each cycle as tolerated.

To closely monitor his progress, he will receive MRI scans every two months throughout treatment. Our hope is not only to continue seeing stability but also to begin seeing shrinkage of the tumor over time.

He has recently been experiencing some shoulder pain. While this could be related to either the tumor or the treatments, additional imaging will be done to rule out any other possible causes. He will also be starting physical therapy in hopes of rebuilding strength and improving his overall mobility and quality of life.

Thank you all for your continued prayers, support, encouragement, and kindness!!
