Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's off to work we go...
Thank you to all who have been praying for Tim and inquiring about his progress. Last Tuesday, Feb 17, Tim woke with the inability to comprehend what he was reading and unable to complete a sentence. None of his doctors seemed to be alarmed and we were instructed to continue to take his minimal dosage of steroid and be patient. When he sat to read his bible Thursday morning he was able to comprehend but the speech had not returned. He has made slow progress and is back to the place where he was last week before this hiccup. He still has difficulty finding all his words, but praise God for progression and not the other direction!
We have finally received a follow up appointment next week with the neuro oncology department at UAB. My assumption is that we will receive the results of the pathology report on the tumor that was removed three weeks ago today and a game plan for future treatment.
In the meantime Tim continues to have speech therapy appointments twice a week (and homework in-between) and has begun to go into the office for a few hours most days. If anyone would like to pick him up for lunch, some bro time would probably be welcomed!
Thanks to our church body, neighbors, friends and family who minister to us each day. We are so thankful especially for those who continue to pray to the One who heals. While our promise of eternal healing gives us confidence and true peace, we'd love for Him to keep Tim around here for many more years.
I Peter 4:10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.
We have been served with a lot of gifts and are so thankful!
