Just a quick update today as I get settled back in at Mayo for round 3 of chemo. I was originally supposed to start this last week, but my numbers were a bit too low so I was able to hang out at home over the 4th and watch fireworks with the girls from our living room. :)
Just a quick update today as I get settled back in at Mayo for round 3 of chemo. I was originally supposed to start this last week, but my numbers were a bit too low so I was able to hang out at home over the 4th and watch fireworks with the girls from our living room. :)
I meet with my care team later today, but the hope is that I'll be able to finish treatment by Sunday this week and be released at that point to recoup back at home. Fingers crossed!
Round 4 is scheduled for August after which I’ll have a PET scan and bone marrow biopsy to see where we are at and to give the doctors time to determine if a round 5 will be needed in September.
I just can’t tell you enough how amazing you all are with the texts, cards, calls, and meals for the girls. It helps this warrior fight the fight and makes things so much easier knowing and feeling all of the love and support I have behind me!
