Hello Elly's Warriors!
THIS is it, time to put the knee pads on and hit the floor to battle in prayer before Elly's surgery and through this next stretch of her (and her family's) journey. Here are the requests:
1. Surgery: Weds. 1/14 at 10am at City of Hope
Please pray that the surgeons are able to get the rest of the cancer from the lymph nodes and for clear margins. The surgery will last 4-5 hours. Pray that her recovery has no complications with minimal pain and discomfort as she heals.
2. Teddy and Ben
Be praying that the boys will feel secure, loved and not worry. They are both having a very hard time. As like the last surgery, Elly will have several weeks of not being able to lift or hug them so this will be tough on each of them especially remembering how it was last time. Pray for the peace that passes understanding.
3. Elly & Alex
Please pray that Alex and Elly can be an encouragement and shining light for Jesus to people that they interact with at the hospital. We have already witnessed God at work in so many ways and it is their heart to continue trusting Him with their story.
4. Endurance and Provision
Pray for their household as Alex balances working full time with being the primary caregiver to the boys in the mornings, evenings and weekends. The stress of seeing wife and mom fight this difficult battle weighs on all of them but life keeps moving so they need God's strength to keep on keeping on.
If you are looking for a way to stand in the gap through these next several weeks, help with meals and chores would be greatly appreciated. Please see the Volunteer Opportunities as they are posted for the current needs.
We know God has brought Elly through this far and will continue carrying her in the remaining fight for her coming VICTORY! Thank you for your faithful prayers and love for Elly, Alex and the boys.
From Elly's Sister,
Suzanne
