Yesterday was Day 16 of the KRAS trial at NYU. Prior to starting this study, the cancer activity blood test, CA 19-9, had been steadily going up, indicating that the cancer progressed throughout the first study and during the washout period before Andrew could start this one. On Day 8, his CA 19-9 jumped about 3x over the previous week, the highest spike we’ve ever seen and hitting a peak since Andrew’s diagnosis in June 2024. His oncologist ran it again yesterday and we just got the results—another 4x over last week. This strongly suggests the trial drug that Andrew worked so hard to get is not effective. The next step is probably going to a second-line chemo. We’re waiting to see if the doctor wants to get a CT soon to confirm.

Lk. 19:37,38
…the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen. “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!”

Lk:18:7
And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out day and night?

Friends and family please pray unceasingly.

Oh no, I'm so sorry. I'm sure that feels extra disheartening after the recent setbacks, but I hope things turn around soon. Sending you and Andrew extra hugs today.
