The kids started school last week, and it’s hard to believe we’re already here! Abigail is loving every moment of school and seems to be soaking it all in. Gunnar is doing very well academically, and he always comes home with a story to share about his day. I love hearing about what they’re learning and the little moments that make up their days.

I’ve been using the time while they’re at school to go through all their clothes and toys and tackle some much-needed deep cleaning around the house. It’s amazing how much you can get done when you have a few quiet hours!

Life has seemed especially fast-paced lately. Maybe it’s because the kids are in school now, but the days seem to be flying by. I can’t believe that before we know it, we’ll be heading into fall and the temperatures will start cooling down. Summer feels like it just started, yet somehow we’re already nearing the end of it.

It was definitely a packed summer for us. We spent quite a bit of time in Boston with Abigail, and in the middle of everything, she got to go on her wish trip to Disney. It was such a special time away for all of us and a chance to make some happy memories together in the middle of a very busy season.

Before we know it, November will be here, and we’ll be heading back to Boston for another surgery and more appointments for Abigail.

This past weekend, Abigail also participated in a pageant, and she absolutely loved it! Devin and I were especially thankful that the girls she met were so kind and welcoming. Those little moments mean more to us than people probably realize. Seeing Abigail included, making friends, and simply enjoying being a kid is something we treasure.

This week is also our county fair! The kids will be out of school for a few days, so we’re planning to head over toward the end of the week and enjoy some family time.

And finally, we would appreciate your prayers. Devin and I are both feeling a little under the weather right now, so we’re praying for quick healing and hoping to get back to feeling like ourselves soon.
