This week has been a busy one with doctor appointments. Abigail had her eye appointment today at the University of Virginia, which turned into quite an adventure. We ended up waiting about an hour before the doctor came in, and once he started checking her eyes, she got so upset that she threw up. Poor girl! The doctor said her vision looks good, but at some point, she’ll need surgery since her eyelids are a little droopy. For now, he wants her to grow some more before moving forward with that. 

 

On another note, our pilot for next Wednesday, Scott, gave us a call today. He wanted to get to know Devin and me a little, answer any questions we had, and explain what the process would look like for our trip. He seems like a kind man and said he’s looking forward to meeting us and Abigail in person. On Sunday, he’ll let us know what time we’ll need to meet him at the Winchester airport.
