Update:
It has been a little while since we updated everyone as to how Becky is doing. Her theme for this past weekend was making lemonade from lemons as we celebrated Daniella’s Bat Mitzvah. Thanks to modern technology, Becky joined us for every aspect of the weekend. From Friday night Shabbat dinner with family, preparations on Saturday as the girls got their hair and makeup done, and most importantly being on the big screen at the Temple for the service and a roaming iPad for the party, Becky was present with us. While it wasn’t the ideal, it felt like she was with us to celebrate Daniella and to create memories none of us will ever forget. We are so proud of Daniella and all she has accomplished.
From a health perspective, Becky’s platelets are higher than they were when she got to the hospital, which is a good thing. The white blood cells that provide immunity are on the rise, giving us hope that she might finish the first phase of her treatment and return home to us soon. The continued outpouring of support to Becky and our family during this process, especially during this past weekend, has meant the world to us and lifts Becky’s spirits, enabling her to continue the fight. She is even on a six day walking and strength routine on Peloton! Keep the love coming.
