Today while hanging out with some of his fave small people (my bestie’s kids) Judah showed off some very short bursts of independent ring sitting! Our sitting has been struggling lately, because his dystonia is flared up, so I was excited to see him try! He also stood without his orthotics on with support just at one thigh, and tried to initiate a step! It’s so so so cool to see the interventions we’ve been doing really start to fall into place. He’s been working so hard. We’ve sort of adopted the mindset of only pushing him in the activities that he wants to do for now, since his body is fighting him with all the teething, and the nausea, and not eating as consistently as we’d like. So that’s been standing. He loves to stand and explore. We’ll transition to more focus in other areas once we get him settled after surgery. ❤️ We’re looking forward to it, even though it’s scary.
