We wanted to take a moment to share an update and, most importantly, say thank you.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has prayed for our family, reached out with kind words, generously donated, shared the fundraiser, or offered a helping hand. We have read every message, every comment, and every prayer shared with us. While we may not have been able to respond to each one individually, please know that every act of kindness has meant more to us than words can express.
The days since losing Andrew have been incredibly difficult. There are moments that still don’t feel real, and we are learning what it means to take things one day at a time. The hardest part of all has been watching his children try to navigate life without their dad. They miss him deeply, and there are simply no words for the pain of watching children grieve someone they loved so completely.
Morgan is doing everything she can to care for the children while carrying a tremendous loss of her own. The love and support surrounding our family has helped provide comfort and stability during a time when so much feels uncertain. Because of your generosity, we haven’t had to worry about having food in the refrigerator or where our next meal will come from. Those may seem like small things, but in moments like these they become immeasurable gifts that allow us to focus on what matters most—loving one another, grieving together, and helping the children feel safe and supported. For those who have signed up, Maura and Destiny will be helping to coordinate the next round of the meals. This way Morgan can keep giving her attention to the kids.
As we continue to navigate the unexpected expenses that have come with Andrew’s passing, we have learned that the financial needs are greater than we initially realized. After understanding the full extent of those costs, we made the difficult decision to increase our fundraising goal. Asking for help has never been easy, but your kindness has reminded us that we do not have to carry this burden alone.
Whether you have donated, shared this fundraiser, brought a meal, sent a message, or simply whispered a prayer for our family, you have helped carry us through some of our darkest days. There truly are no words that feel big enough to express our gratitude.
Thank you for loving Andrew, for honoring his memory, and for continuing to wrap his family in your kindness. Thank you for supporting Morgan and being patient with her while she navigates her new normal. We are forever grateful.
