Another ER Visit for Ashley

Some of you know that my daughter, who just turned thirty-five, suffered a stroke earlier in her young life. Since then, the road has not been gentle. Recently, an at-home X-ray—a small miracle of modern compassion, that medicine can now come to those who cannot easily go to it—revealed troubling news. The pain she has been carrying in her hip, rooted in an old fracture, has deepened. The doctors believe she will need surgery. We will be meeting with an orthopedic surgeon this coming week.
