This morning Zeke underwent surgery and got his chemo port put in, as well as the spinal fluid and bone marrow drawn. The surgeon said the procedure went very smoothly and took just around 2 hours (much faster than the anticipated 3-5 hours that we were told). 

We also got confirmation that no white blood cells or leukemia cells were found in his spinal fluid!!! This is a HUGE praise! This is a positive sign and means that the cancer hasn't spread to his central nervous system!!

Later this afternoon, Zeke will start his first round of chemo. It will be fairly quick (about 15 minutes) to complete. Assuming that his body handles everything well, we are praying for a smooth and boring weekend and then another round of chemo on Monday.
